Jia Xie

Jia Xie received his B.S. degree from Peking University in 2002 and his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2008. He worked as a senior researcher at Dow Chemical and as CTO at Hefei Guoxuan High-Tech Co. He joined Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015. His research focuses on electrochemical energy storage, especially safe, low-cost, and sustainable battery technology for grid energy storage. He has published over 200 papers, been granted more than 100 invention patents, and received several science and technology awards. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and an Associate Editor of Energy Storage Materials.
