Weiming Tu

Dr. Weiming Tu is a Nanyang Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He completed his postdoctoral training and served as a visiting scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Tu received his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from University of Oxford in 2024, following Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University and Tongji University, respectively. His research focuses on applying synthetic biology to sustainable technologies, including carbon dioxide fixation, bioenergy production, waste recycling, and biomanufacturing. He also serves on the editorial boards of Bioresource Technology and Microbial Biotechnology.
