Professor at LUT and Senior Advisor at STU

Jari Hämäläinen is a full professor of industrial mathematics and a former vice-rector for research and innovation at Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology in Finland. He also works as a senior advisor for strategic development and internationalization at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, is a member of the International Advisory Board at Riga Technical University in Latvia, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Institut Mines-Télécom in France. He is a chair of the Committee for International Affairs in Council of Finnish Academies and a vice-chair of European Council of Academies of Engineering Sciences (euro-CASE).
