Prof. Upasana Gitanjali Singh is an Associate Professor and Academic Leader in the Discipline of Information Systems and Technology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Victorian Institute of Technology, Australia. She holds a PhD in Information Systems and is an NRF C2-rated researcher in Educational Technology. She has extensive experience in higher education teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Her research focuses on Educational Technology, Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education, Digital Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Information Systems, and Digital Transformation. Prof. Singh has published extensively in leading journals and edited volumes, edited several international books, and delivered keynote addresses at conferences and webinars worldwide. She serves as the Convenor and Chair of the International Conference on Digital Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (digiTAL) and actively promotes global collaboration to advance innovative, ethical, and inclusive educational practices.

Passionate about leveraging technology for student success and societal impact, Prof. Singh's work bridges research, policy, and practice to advance future-ready education systems in the Global South and beyond.
